Our project is on Gonorrhea. Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted infection that can cause infertility. The bacterial infection is in the rise in Canada and is becoming increasingly resistant to antibiotics.
Gonorrhea is bacterial. A person can get gonorrhea in many different ways which include transmitted through oral, genital or when you have anal sex with an infected person. It can also be spread from a mother to her child during birth.
The symptoms for men include :
A burning sensation when urinating .
A burning or itching at the opening of the penis .
Yellowish white discharge from the penis.
Painful or swollen testicles.
The symptoms for women include :
A burning sensation when urinating .
Vaginal discharge.
Pain in the lower abdomen.
Pain during sex.
Vaginal bleeding between periods and or after sex.
You can treat Gonorrhea with pills
and injections.
